Cardinal in the Holly

I painted and a bird popped out.

Okay, seriously I painted this for a gift. But I'm sharing it with you all because I'm reasonably sure there is an EXTREMELY low chance the intended recipient will see it here first.

This is acrylic on canvas, which is why you can see some roughness in it and its not my usual stuff. I paint VERY differently than I draw. Not sure why it works that way, but it does.
